The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) in Afghanistan says that many people in the country do not have access to safe water and sanitation.
The organization wrote on X today (Monday, May 11) that residents of informal settlements in Afghanistan face greater challenges in accessing water.
According to UN-Habitat, water is essential for health and life, and efforts to improve access to clean water must be increased.
Earlier, the European Union’s humanitarian aid office said that more than 21 million people in Afghanistan have limited access to safe drinking water.
