UNODC trains 28 women to provide drug treatment services

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has announced that it has trained 28 female service providers and built their capacity to provide treatment for women with drug use disorders in southeastern Afghanistan.

In a post on X on Wednesday (Oct. 7), the agency said that these 28 women can provide treatment and recovery services to at least 432 women in a year.

According to the UNODC, the program was launched to strengthen the capacity of women service providers and increase women’s access to treatment and support services.
