Afghanistan’s PDPM demands transfer of UN permanent representative seat to IE

KABUL (SW) – Mohammad Abdul Kabir, Acting Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs of the de-facto government, has demanded that the seat of Afghanistan’s permanent representative in the United Nations be handed over to the Islamic Emirate.

Mr. Abdul Kabir held a meeting with Roza Otunbayeva, the head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) on Thursday, The Presidential Palace (Arg) stated.

During the meeting, Abdul Kabir has said that the Islamic Emirate wants “positive interaction” with the world in the light of mutual respect.

He added that the Islamic Emirate has completed all the conditions of being officially recognized and “must be recognized.”
