Muttaqi urges for resolving legal and judicial challenges of Afghan refugees in Iran

KABUL (SW) – Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Islamic Emirate, Amir Khan Muttaqi, in a meeting with Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Iran’s ambassador and special representative for Afghanistan, has asked for resolving of the legal and judicial problems of Afghan immigrants in Iran and cooperation between the two countries.

This meeting was held on Wednesday, December 13 in Kabul, said Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.

During the meeting, Amir Khan Muttaqi and the Iranian ambassador discussed not only on the situation of Afghan immigrants but also for bolstering the economic and political relations between the Islamic Emirate and Iran.

“Amir Khan Muttaqi called it important to resolve the legal and judicial problems of Afghan immigrants in Iran and to improve economic, political and cultural relations between the two countries,” added statement.

This is despite the fact that recently there have been reports about the bad situation of Afghan immigrants in Iran.
