Regardless of opportunists’ attacks, SAMO continues to strive on media front

KABUL (SW) – In the wake of some mean and opportunist attacks, Salam Afghanistan Media Organization (Salam Watandar Radio Network) continues to fight and operate on the media front in the country.

The Salam Afghanistan Media Organization (Salamutandar Radio Network) has the license number “3463” from the Ministry of Economy and the license number “0213” from the Ministry of Information and Culture, as a comprehensive, non-political and neutral entity that defends popular values within the framework of spreading information.

As a transparent, timely and impartial radio it functions along with the National Radio and at least 102 local radio stations. The organizational and executive affairs of Salam Afghanistan Media Organization are governed by the Board of Governance and the Board of Directors of the organization in accordance with the applicable laws, policies and articles of the association.

No public or private institution has the right to interfere in the affairs of this organization.

Unfortunately, four regular and contract employees of the SAMO, against all legal and media standards, and in collusion with several adventurous people from outside the organization, plotted recently by involving irresponsible people into the organization and creatied fear.

By terrifying and deceiving some, they wanted to take over the presidency of the organization. These opportunist people colluded with biased people and outsiders by spreading baseless and false accusations on Facebook and by spreading false information against the organization and against the leadership of the organization and by tempering office equipment.

Fortunately, the leadership of SAMO will deal with these issues with legal and religious wisdom in the light of media ethics through the relevant departments and judicial authorities, and will prevent these conspirators from interfering illegally in the affairs of this media organization. It would also seek legal actions against the perpetrators of disseminating the false information.

The SAMO once again reiterates its commitment to combating all forms of corruption, including corruption by such conspirators, and will never give up or tolerate it.

As one of Afghanistan’s most reputable and nationwide media outlets, Salam Watandar is committed to providing accurate, timely and impartial information and, as in the past, continues its activities as the voice of the public against injustice, corruption.
