Pakistan’s accusation over involvement of Afghan citizens in the country’s insecurity

KABUL (SW) – Following the claims of the Pakistani authorities about “the Afghan citizens are involved in the insecurity of Pakistan, Dawn News, one of the leading media of this country, has recently reported that the Pakistani security forces have succeeded in arresting six members of the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) who are Afghan citizens.

Citing Pakistani security sources, this media added that these six individuals, including a 16-year-old teenager, were killed by Pakistani security forces on February. 28. These six were said the residents of Khost, Paktia and Logar provinces, according to report.

However experts voice concern about the continuation of such claims by Pakistan against Afghan citizens.

Aziz Stanekzai, an expert on military issues, says: “Pakistan always wants to blackmail Afghanistan on acute issues. Such claims of this country are baseless and the Afghans have never operated together with the TTP on the other side of the Durand’s hypothetical line and are not doing so.”

Experts referring to the sensitivity of the TTP’s issue in the bilateral relations between Kabul and Islamabad, ask the Islamic Emirate to be cautious in its foreign policy in this regard. They also emphasize that Pakistan must focus on the issue and threats of TTP as well as the internal issue of the country.

In response to the recent claim by the Pakistani authorities, the Islamic Emirate tells Salam Watandar that this issue is under investigation by the de-facto government. Yesterday, however, Mohammad Abdul Kabir, Acting Deputy Prime Minister of Political Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, in a meeting with Hai Kyung Joon, the head of the Asia and Pacific Division of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for Asia and the Pacific, said that Afghan immigrants have no role in Pakistan’s insecurity.

This is despite the fact that a number of religious scholars in Pakistan have recently announced that the Islamic Emirate is trying to bring TTP back to the table of peace talks with the government of Pakistan. Something that has not been confirmed or denied by the Islamic Emirate.
