Assistance cuts exacerbate plight of malnourished children, mothers in Afghanistan – WFP

KABUL (SW) – The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) in Afghanistan has announced that four million mothers and children in Afghanistan are suffering from malnutrition.

On Sunday, WFP wrote on X, saying with the global assistance cuts, “the situation is only getting worse.”

Previously, WFP announced that this agency needs 760 million dollars to continue its cooperation in Afghanistan in the next six months.
