Afghanistan will not accept the membership of any military coalition, says Hanafi

KABUL (SW) – Abdulsalam Hanafi, the administrative deputy of the Islamic Emirate’s Administrative Affairs, says that neutrality of Afghanistan as a mechanism is necessary to ensure peace and stability in the country and prevent the growth of regional conflicts.

A conference has been held at the Afghanistan Academy of Sciences on Wednesday, December 6.

Hanafi adds that the Islamic Emirate wants Afghanistan to remain an independent and neutral country and will not accept the membership of any military coalition.

He emphasizes that the Islamic Emirate wants to have a positive interaction with the neighboring countries and the great powers of the world.

“The Islamic Emirate wants Afghanistan to remain an independent country and not be a member of any coalition and always maintain its neutrality and have good interaction with all countries and also asks countries not to interfere in Afghanistan’s internal affairs”, said Hanafi.

Meanwhile, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasizes neutrality and balance in foreign policy and says that Afghanistan’s foreign policy is more economic-oriented.

Mohibullah Wasiq, head of the Acting Ministry of Foreign Affairs, says: “Afghanistan’s foreign policy is based on spiritual values and national interests and emphasizes neutrality, balance, and economic orientation. It does not allow others to use Afghanistan territory as a threat to other countries and also does not allow other countries to threat the security of Afghanistan.

It should be mentioned that the Islamic Emirate had previously said that the work on the formulation of the de-facto government’s foreign policy is underway.
