Oxygen production unit installed in Bamyan

BAMYAN (SW) – An oxygen production unit worth $170,000 has been installed at the public hospital in Bamyan.

This plant has been donated by the Aga Khan Foundation for this hospital.

The media office of the governor of Bamyan wrote in a newsletter, quoting the governor of this province, Abdullah Sarhadhi: “Now that the oxygen production device in the central hospital of Bamyan has been put into operation, an important part of the problems of this hospital, especially the patients who have breathing problems, have been resolved.”

Mohammad Abdi, the director of Bamyan provincial hospital, said that this oxygen production unit is capable of producing 16,100 liters of oxygen with 95% purity per hour.

According to him, after this, the oxygen needed by hospitals and clinics in the center and districts of Bamyan will be provided in an easy, timely and free manner.
