29 million afghanis collected via the distribution of ID cards

KABUL (SW) – Last year, more than 29 million afghanis were collected from the distribution of the new computerized identity cards in Kunduz, said officials. 

On Wednesday, the National Bureau of Statistics and Information said in a statement that via distribution of nearly 67,000 ID certificates and nearly 92,000 birth certificates, more than 29 million afgahnis worth of revenue has been collected in Kunduz alone.

In the newsletter, Fazullah Safi, head of statistics and information in Kunduz, said that nearly a thousand applicants visit the distribution centers every day.

Kunduz has three electronic ID card distribution centers, one of which was recently moved to Imam Sahib district of this province.

It said the National Bureau of Statistics and Information plans to expand the expand the distribution network to districts and remote areas.
