HERAT CITY (SW) – Officials in Herat say that the customs revenues of this province have increased due to the elimination of administrative corruption.
Mohammad Bilal, the head of Herat Customs, has said that the department has collected about 9.5 billion afghanis in revenue during the past one year.
According to him, last year Herat customs revenues reached more than 25 billion afghani, which has increased by about 9.5 billion afghani compared to the year before.
The head of Herat Customs added that the reason for the increase in the revenue of this customs is the elimination of corruption, increased working hours and more facilities for merchants.
