KABUL (SW) – The Afghanistan Meteorological Department has issued a warning on its Facebook page about the possibility of heavy rain and snowfall in 12 provinces.
This department has said that there is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall on Thursday and Friday.
Badakhshan, Maidan Wardak, Bamyan, Daikundi, Ghor, Sar-e-Pul, Balkh, Jawzjan, Faryab, Badghis, Herat and Farah are among the provinces where there is a possibility of rain and snow.
According to the announcement, the amount of rainfall expected in different places is between 5 to 30 mm, and the amount of snowfall in different places is expected to be between 10 to 30 cm.
According to the United Nations report, Afghans are experiencing the worst winter of the decade this year.
