KABUL (SW) – Deputy minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanakzai, has once again insisted on providing equal education opportunities to all in the country.

At a meeting to introduce the new governor of Kabul, Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanakzai said that education is the right of the nation and the schools doors should be opened. As before, he once again emphasized that countries are progressing with knowledge and there is a need to provide education in the country.

Ever since the Islamic Emirate regained power, girls’ schools above the sixth grade have been closed and female students are deprived of education.

Although the Ministry of Education and a number of senior officials of the caretaker government have repeatedly assured about the reopening of girls’ schools in the country, this has not been done yet.

At the same time, the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also emphasized in this meeting that the authority and power should be handed over to the capable people so that the country can get out of the current problems and troubles.

He also called upon the caretaker government officials to perform their duties properly and according to him, to stay close to the people.
