KABUL (SW) – A number of students at the Marshal Fahim National Defense University on Monday staged a protest demonstration in Kabul.
The protesting students and cadets of the varsity said that the university’s activities have been stopped since the rise to power of the Islamic Emirate in the country.
These students added that close to 500 students of this university have graduated, but with they have not yet received their degrees. “My fate is unknown,” said Ehsanullah, one of the protesters. “While I graduated, and have invested five years and wanted to get my diploma. Now I do not know why they (officials) do not issue the diploma”, he said.
Easanullah, another of the protesting students said that the students ask the Ministry of Defense officials to resume the lessons.
Nasir Stanikzay, another protest student, said that in the case of the documents, the officials should take a final decision.
We wanted to have the views of the Ministry of Defense as well, but the spokesman for the ministry did not respond to our calls.
