MAIMANA (SW) – Foreign militants are busy training Taliban insurgents on the usage of quadcopters for surveillance and attacks in Afghanistan.

According to Naqeebullah Fayeq, the governor of Faryab province, the Taliban insurgents used these quadcopters to locate positions of the security forces in Khwaja Sabz Posh district. He added that this trend is influenced by the tactics used here by the pro-Daesh insurgents.

One of the former Taliban commanders, Syed Azizullah said in this connection that Iranians, Syrian, Uzbekistanis and Pakistani militants are present in the ranks of the Taliban. He claimed most of the Taliban operations are supervised by the foreign militants.

The Taliban have not commented in this regard.
