Khalid Sarhadi, spokesperson for the Ghazni Police Command, says a woman has died in the province after receiving an improperly administered injection.
Sarhadi says the incident took place yesterday evening in Kok village, Andar district, Ghazni province.
According to him, the woman had received an injection from a local doctor to treat her illness but asked a female neighbor to administer it. Her condition worsened after the injection, and she died while being taken to a hospital.
The incident has once again raised concerns about people’s access to standard healthcare services and health workers in remote areas, particularly female health workers.
