The United Nations has expressed concern over cuts to humanitarian aid funding and their consequences for vital healthcare services in Afghanistan.
In a report released on Tuesday (Nov. 3), the UN said that cuts in humanitarian funding have forced several health centers across Afghanistan to scale back their services or close down.
According to the report, residents of remote areas face long and difficult journeys to reach care.
Despite efforts to expand healthcare services across Afghanistan, residents of some remote areas continue to face shortages of health centers and medical facilities, as well as difficulties accessing healthcare services.
