MAZAR-E SHARIF (SW) – On Tuesday, Mazar-e Sharif the central of Balkh province has become the host for a three-day trade fare aimed at supporting domestic products and providing a sales market for the female entrepreneurs and artisans.
Asadullah Asadi, head of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment, says that this three-day exhibition was held under the name of “Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi” trade fare.
According to him, in this exhibition, which was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and with the financial support of the International Labor Organization (ILO), domestic products and women’s handicrafts have been displayed in 130 booths for three days.
Meanwhile, women entrepreneurs and domestic producers who have exhibited their products, welcome the opening of this exhibition and want to expand the holding of similar exhibitions.
Freshta Gholami, one of the women entrepreneurs, told Salam Watandar: “This exhibition can market to us; we are happy that we participated. Our request is that more exhibitions should be held.”
Meanwhile, Mohammad Khadem Abed, who is in charge of holding exhibitions at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, assured of efforts to support manufacturers and said: “The ministry has decided to hold up to 50 domestic and foreign exhibitions this year.”
On the other hand, Ramin Behzad, an official of the International Labor Organization, said on the occasion that in order to raise the level of business knowledge of women, to familiarize them with business skills and provide them with financial support, the ILO has created at least 10,000 jobs in the last three years.
