4-day exhibition opened in Kabul focused on supporting domestic products

KABUL (SW) – The second round of the “National Top Services” exhibition opened in DarulAman Palace in Kabul on Thursday.

The exhibition has been launched by the Ministries of Information and Culture, Economy, Chambers of Commerce and Investment, and a number of industrialists, to support domestic productions.

The National Top Services exhibition was opened on Thursday, December 14, and will continue for four days.

Saaduddin Saeed, Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration of the Ministry of Information and Culture highlights that supporting domestic products will diminish imports, fostering economic growth in the country.

He adds: “The government has always supported industrialists and factory owners by reducing or waiving taxes, providing electricity to industrialists and many other facilities. We try to find ways to grow domestic production.”

Tesel Khan, the head of Tesel Business Group and one of the organizers of this exhibition, says that holding such exhibitions will introduce domestic products, attract contracts, marketing, and create a platform for the growth of domestic products.

“If domestic productions are supported, Job opportunities will increase. We launched this exhibition to restore and grow domestic productions,” he added.

In this exhibition, 250 booths in various sectors such as handicrafts, iron, food, spices, decorative objects, and paintings are displayed, of which 100 booths are dedicated to women.

On the other hand, a number of exhibitors who have displayed their goods in this exhibition say that they expect to get good results from this exhibition.

Sofia, one of the exhibitors says: “We have displayed health and beauty products, and we hope to make a profit and our sales will be good. Exhibitions are very important for introducing our products and attracting customers.”

“This exhibition is very important for people’s awareness and the growth of domestic production,” said Ahmad Walid, another exhibitor.

Meanwhile, visitors to the National Top Services exhibition say that providing such opportunities can increase the motivation of citizens to buy domestic products.

Zahra, one of the visitors to this exhibition, says: “I saw several booths, they had very great clothes, and this is a good thing.”

The first round of the exhibition was held in Dar al-Aman Palace in March. Last year, several small and large exhibitions were set up in Kabul city and other provinces to increase domestic production.
