More than 418 graduates in amidst of unemployment

KABUL (SW) – More than 418 male students have been graduated from five fields of Kabul University of Medical Sciences “Abu Ali Ibn-e Sina”.

The graduation ceremony of tense of medical students was held on Wednesday, 29 November in Kabul University.

Asadullah Nejat, head of Kabul University of Medical Sciences, says: “120 students have graduated from dentistry, 176 from therapeutic medicine, 19 from nursing, 61 from public health,42  from complementary health sciences, also 40  specialist doctors have graduated today.”

Meanwhile, a number of medical graduates in this ceremony, express their concern about unemployment after seven years of studying hard in their field.

Maisam Ahmadi, a graduate of the the therapeutic medicine department of Kabul university of medical sciences, says: “We are not permitted to treat women. Women are more comfortable to be treated by women, so it is necessary to allow girls to continue their education.”

On the other hand, the officials of the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan, say that the health sector is needed more than other sectors and should be given more attention.

“Students should work professionally so that we don’t have to go outside for treatment anymore, and we also try to increase the equipment of the medical university to treat patients.” Neda Mohammad Nadim, Minister of Higher Education of Afghanistan, told Salam Watandar.

However, the officials of the Ministry of Public Health, say that they will provide work for the graduates of medical universities in the country.
