Jawzjan mines department sees surge in revenue collection

SHEBERGHAN (SW) – Local officials in Jawzjan confirm that the revenues of the directorate of mines in this province have increased.

Abulfazl Ahmadi, the head of Jawzjan mines, says that this department has earned more than three million afghanis through mining contracts in the first five months of this year, which shows a three percent increase compared to last year.

According to the director of Jawzjan mines, in the last five months of the year, the income of this department was two million and 234 thousand afghanis. He added that they have stopped the arbitrary extraction of mines in Jawzjan and according to special procedures, the mines of this province are contracted and extracted with volunteer companies.

On the other hand, a number of investors in Jawzjan praised the provision of security and ease of investment in this province.

According to the officials of the Jawzjan mines department, these revenues are obtained from the contracts of sand mines, talk from Yatim Tagh mine, ore from Khomab district and construction stone from Qarqin district of this province.
