Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan delegation in Iran for talks on refugees’ affairs

KABUL (SW) – A delegation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has left for Iran for talks on refugees’ affairs.

Officials of the Islamic Emirate say that the four-party meeting of Afghanistan, Iran, the United Nations and Pakistan, which will last for five days, will start on Sunday in Tehran.

This meeting will be held to solve the refugees and immigrants and to return them to the country voluntarily.

Abdurrahman Rashid, professional deputy of the Ministry of Refugees and Returnees Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, said that the purpose of this meeting is to solve the problems of Afghan refugees in the mentioned countries and to explore the possibility of their return.

Officials of the Ministry of Refugees and Returnees assured that they will provide accommodation and work opportunities for those refugees who return to the country voluntarily.

According to the figures of this ministry, now six and a half million Afghan refugees, some of whom are facing physical and psychological issues, live in Iran and Pakistan.
