ISLAMABAD (SW) – Afghan journalists in exile and human rights activists gathered in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, asked the international community, especially the United Nations, the US, Canada and other European countries to help resolve their pending visa applications.

According to them, Afghan journalists and human rights activists were forced to leave the country after the rule of the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan, and the international community had promised to take them to peaceful countries, but they still face a bleak future.

In this protest, the international community was criticized for forgetting the Afghans after the war between Russia and Ukraine.

In a resolution, the Afghan journalists and human rights expressed concern about the various pressures being put on them by the Pakistani government, They asked the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to investigate the cases of Afghan journalists and human rights activists in a special way.

According to the resolution, children do not have access to their basic human rights and the international community should suffer.

They emphasized that the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Pakistan should not only investigate their cases, but also provide facilities for them to stay safely here.

Afghan journalists and human rights activists have emphasized that they have worked for years to strengthen human rights, freedom of speech and media and democracy in Afghanistan, and it is useful for the international community to protect and protect their human rights.

Afghan journalists and human rights activists living in Pakistan are protesting that the government of Pakistan has given Afghans who do not have visas or whose stay has expired until the end of December this year to leave the country.
