Commission formed to look into the case of prisoners from Panjshir

KABUL (SW) – The head of the cabinet of Islamic Emirate ministers has tasked a commission to look into the case of individuals arrested during the latest unrest in Panjshir province.

According to the state -owned news agency Bakhtar the Islamic Emirates government has set up a six -member commission to investigate the cases of those arrested during the “military operation in Panjshir”.

It said the commission was established by the decree of Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the head of the Islamic Emirates’ council of cabinet ministers and would be chaired by the Kabul Governor.

According to the report, detainees are currently imprisoned in Kabul prisons. The number of these people is not clear yet.

According to media reports, the Islamic Emirate has recently launched extensive attacks to suppress members of the ‘National Resistance Front’ in Panjshir.

According to the ruling of Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhand tasked the six -member commission led by Mowlavi Neda Mohammad Nadim, the governor of Kabul to review all the cases of people caught during military operations in Panjshir.

Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, had recently announced that as a result of clearing operations in Raqa, Dara and Afshar districts of Panjshir province, 40 people, including four commanders of the National Resistance Front, were killed and 101 others were arrested with their  weapons.
