Two suspected Daesh militants killed in Kunduz

KUNDUZ CITY (SW) – At least two suspected Daesh militants were killed by the Islamic Emirate forces in Kunduz province last evening, sources confirmed.

Local and security sources in Kunduz told Salam Watandar that the security forces of the Islamic Emirate attacked a hideout of the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) group in the “Qanjagha Arabiya” area located in the Imam Sahib district of this province around 10:00 last night.

Sources add that the fighting between the two sides continued until around 3 am today. According to sources, both sides used light and heavy weapons.

Sources say that the security forces of the Islamic Emirate targeted one of the rented houses after receiving intelligence where ISIS members were said to be staying.

Sources confirm that 3 people, including 2 men and 1 child, were killed and 4 people, including 3 women and 1 ISIS man, were arrested in this attack.

The sources did not say anything about the casualties of the Islamic Emirate forces; But it has been said that the forces of the Islamic Emirate have also suffered casualties.

Kunduz local and security authorities have not yet said anything about this.

Imam Sahib is one of the Kunduz districts bordering Tajikistan. After the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan, several blasts have occurred in this district, and the ISIS group has taken responsibility for some of these blasts.
