KABUL (SW) – The Meteorological Department has warned that 19 provinces of the country will witness relatively heavy rainfall with lightning, flash floods and strong winds.
According to the announcement of this department, tomorrow (Thursday, 30th of Cancer) and the day after tomorrow there is a possibility of relatively heavy rainfall with flash floods in Nuristan, Badakhshan, Kunar, Laghman, Nangarhar, Paktia, Paktika, Logar, Khost, Ghazni and Zabul provinces.
The Meteorological Department has predicted the amount of rain in different places between 10 and 30 millimeters.
This department also said that the possibility of a momentary storm with dust is predicted in the provinces of Balkh, Kunduz, Herat, Farah, Nimroz, Helmand, Kandahar and Uruzgan.
The Department of Meteorology has estimated the wind speed in these provinces between 20 and 90 kilometers per hour. It should be noted that in recent weeks, floods have caused casualties and huge financial losses in a number of provinces.
