UNDP warns of fake financial aid scheme

KABUL (SW) – The United Nations Development Program has warned that a group of exploiters are seeking to take advantage of people in the name of pledges for funds.

Officials of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) media department in Afghanistan told Salam Watandar that a group of people seeking to use the seal of one of the previous projects of this organization in the eastern provinces, especially Nangarhar, Laghman and Kunar, are looking for people’s negligence and financial abuse.

According to the officials, these people promise people that they will be included in the list of receiving the amount of 200 dollars per month, and these people will receive an amount in exchange for this work.

Officials of the media department of the United Nations Development Program emphasized that these people do not have a specific office and work as a group to manipulate innocent people.

The officials added that the United Nations Development Program in the east of the country has many projects in the field of revitalizing agricultural infrastructure, all of which are free of charge for Afghan citizens.
