SAR-E-PUL (SW) – The Islamic Emirate forces have conducted aerial raids in Sar-e-Pul provinces against the forces of one of their rival militia commanders.
A local source in Balkhab district, who did not want to be named, told Salam Watandar that the Islamic Emirate forces had launched airstrikes in the district to counter Mehdi Mujahid forces.
The source added that on the second day of the clashes, airstrikes were carried out on Mehdi Mujahid’s house and several other places in the district, but no casualties have been reported so far.
The source added that Mehdi Mujahid’s house was attacked by air while he was not at home. Local and security officials in Sar-e-Pul have not commented.
According to sources, the Islamic Emirate forces, including the Islamic Emirate’s Red Brigade, have been deployed in the province.
It is noteworthy that on the first day of the clashes between the two sides, 12 members of the Islamic Emirate and 5 members of the Mehdi Mujahid group were killed.
