MONITORING (SW) – The Islamic Emirate cabinet of ministers has directed the telecommunication companies not to distribute unregistered SIM cards to the public.
Enamullah Samangani, one of the deputy spokespersons of the Islamic Emirate, announced the cabinet decision on Twitter today, according to which telecommunication companies are not allowed to distribute unregistered SIM cards.
The Cabinet of the Islamic Emirate has instructed the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to address this issue.
Earlier, the cabinet of the Islamic Emirate had ordered that telecommunication SIM cards should be registered and that those who use them should be biometric.
