Afghanistan exports paper sheets to Kazakhstan

KABUL (SW) – The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Islamic Emirate has said that Afghanistan has for the first time exported paper sheets to Kazakhstan.

The ministry noted in a statement posted on Twitter, quoting the Afghan Chamber of Industries and Mines, that the first production convoy of the “Baheer Group of Companies” had been exported to Kazakhstan.

Baheer noted in a statement on Facebook that the first shipment of blank sheets of paper produced at this factory has been exported to Kazakhstan. It said that A3 and A4 sizes of white paper are produced at the group’s paper mill.

Beheer factory is one of the first factories in Afghanistan, which started producing white paper in Kabul in early autumn last year.

According to reports, the factory’s officials at the time said that they produced 120 tons a day and that if they had enough raw materials, they could meet Afghanistan’s need for white paper.
