MONITORING (SW) – A blast at a mosque in Paktia province on Friday killed two people and injured six others.
Local officials in Paktia say an explosion in front of a mosque in the Kharoto area of Patan district after Friday prayers killed two people and injured nine others.
Khaliqyar Ahmadzai, Paktia’s director of information and culture, said the blast took place in front of the mosque in the Patan district, killing two people and injuring six others.
Ahmadzai said the injured had been taken to a hospital for treatment and security personnel had arrived at the scene to investigate.
