Cabinet of ministers amends the fiscal year calendar

KABUL (SW) – The Islamic Emirate officials have moved the start of fiscal year to the month of March.

The Department of Government Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has announced that the cabinet of ministers has approved a plan to change the beginning of the fiscal year to the month of March. The Department said in a press release that this issue was confirmed at yesterday’s meeting of the cabinet of the Islamic Emirate ministers.

The bulletin also stated that the draft budget for the last three months of this year has been approved at this meeting. The Islamic Emirate has said that for the first time in decades Afghanistan’s budget will be prepared without foreign aid.

In this meeting, the cabinet of the Islamic Emirate ministers has absolutely banned the import of low-quality fuel and gas, chemical fertilizers and other non-standard materials. Participants in the meeting said that from now on, those who import substandard materials will be dealt with seriously.

The Islamic Emirate has also appointed a delegation to better investigate and solve the problems of accumulation of fuel tankers in the country’s ports and the matter of import of low-quality materials.
