KABUL (SW) – Analysts believe Pakistan is peddling a dual policy towards the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in connection with its international recognition.
Recently, Pakistani Ambassador to Kabul Mansour Ahmad Khan said that the recognition of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan depends on the decision and coordination of the international community. According to Mansour Ahmad Khan, the important issue is the agreement of the countries in the region on the consultative process for the recognition of the Islamic Emirate, and the position of these countries is considered important for the Islamic Emirate.
However, some political analysts, citing recent remarks by Pakistan’s ambassador to Kabul, say the country has dual diplomacy with the Islamic Emirate and is more interested in achieving its goals.
Javad Hosseini, a political analyst, told Salamutandar that Pakistani officials were paying attention to their country’s goals and interests before the Islamic Emirate was recognized; While the situation of the Islamic Emirate is not very important for them.
Mr. Hosseini added: “Pakistan has a double standard towards the Islamic Emirate and diplomacy. “Some emphasize that cooperation with the Islamic Emirate should be done as soon as possible in all areas, especially in the field of recognition.”
Mustafa Alizadeh, another political scientist, believes that Pakistan is pursuing lobbying and trying to achieve its predetermined goals while satisfying the Islamic Emirate and the international community.
“Pakistan hopes that Afghanistan will be able to win a UN seat in the international system and defeat its longtime rival India, thereby gaining control of the Afghan government,” he said.
Recognition of the Islamic Emirate as the ruling system of Afghanistan is one of the important issues inside and outside the country. A number of countries in the world have stated their preconditions for the recognition of the Islamic Emirate, but it is not yet clear what steps the Islamic Emirate will take to achieve this.
