Taliban to take care of fighters’ food and ration in Takhar

TALUQAN (SW) – The Taliban leadership in Takhar has said soon the payment and ration issues of the security forces would be resolved.

Local Taliban officials in Takhar said on Wednesday they have launched a plan to address the group’s livelihood problems. Maulvi Nooruddin, the Taliban governor for Takhar, made the remarks at a meeting with the province’s 16 district governors.

During the meeting, he stressed that the property and lives of the people and government facilities must be seriously taken care of and protected.

Recently, Takhar residents complained that Taliban members were ordering people to provide them with water and food.

However, Taliban officials promised at the meeting on Wednesday that the concerns of the people of the province regarding the supply of water and food to the group’s members would be put to an end soon.
