Doctor with 6 family members assassinated by ‘unknown’ attackers in Baghlan

PUL-E-KHUMRI (SW) – Local sources in Pul-e-Hesar district of Baghlan province told Salam Watandar that a doctor named Zahiruddin Andarabi and six members of his family were killed last night in a shooting by unknown gunmen and three other children of the family were wounded.

Sources added that the incident took place in Deh Yak village of Pul-e-Hesar district and all the dead were members of the same family. According to sources, Dr. Zahiruddin Andarabi had been serving the people in Pul-e-Hesar district for more than ten years.

In this incident, Dr. Zahir was killed along with his wife, two young daughters, two children and the son-in-law while his other three children were wounded.

The cause and motive of this incident are not clear yet. Officials of the Taliban’s Islamic Emirate in Baghlan have not yet said anything about this. Relatives of Dr. Zahiruddin Andarabi say he was not hostile to anyone.
