‘3 people killed in Ghor for being Hazaras’

GHOR (SW) – At least three people got killed by unknown attackers in Ghor province for being associated with the ethnic Shiite-Hazara minority, said sources on Wednesday.

Sources in Ghor said that unidentified gunmen have shot dead three Hazara men over the past week for being “Hazaras” in the city of Firuz Koh, the capital of the province, as well as in the area of Lal Sar Jangal – Firuz Koh highway.

One of the men killed, Khadem Hussain, a resident of Garmab village, was originally from Lal Sar Jangal district. Khadem Hussein was young and only a year had passed since his wedding.

Two nights ago, a resident of Behsud district of Maidan Wardak province was killed by unknown gunmen here.

About three days before the two incidents, another Hazara man was killed by unknown gunmen in the town of Firuz Koh. He had a regular job selling coal and old cloths.

The officials of the Taliban’s Islamic Emirate in Ghor attribute these killings to the s Daesh terrorist group.

However, no individual or group has yet claimed responsibility for the incidents.
