Saleh claims arrest of suspects over killing of Siawash

KABUL (SW) – First Vice President Amrullah Saleh has said 11 suspects have been taken into custody in connection with the killing of former Tolo News present Yama Siawash.

In a series of tweets, he said it all started with a tip from an informant that police to identify, locate and apprehend an 11 member Taliban terror cell responsible for numerous bombings including murder of Yama Siawash on Nov 7.

He said dozens of sticky bombs & IED were also found in their caches.

“We have invited media community, human rights organizations, civil society activists & advocacy groups to see the files, interview the terrorists & fulfill the wish of the grieving families”, he said.

Siawash and two of his colleagues from the Da Afghanistan Bank lost their lives to a sticky bomb attached to their car back in November 2020. There has been no claim of responsibility for that attack.

“RAISE IT AT INTERNATIONAL FORUMS to expose the terrorist Taliban”, tweeted Saleh.
