Blast kills Kabul University lecturers

 

KABUL (SW) – Two Kabul University’ Sharia faculty lecturers got killed in a blast in the capital on Thursday.

According to sources, the incident took place at around 11:30 am when a sticky mine exploded on a car, killing two lecturers of the Sharia faculty, Mubashir Muslimyar and Maruf Rasikh.

Meanwhile, Kabul police spokesman Firdaus Faramarz has said two people were killed in a roadside bomb blast near the Aliabad Hospital this morning. He said the blast was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) on aimed at car. He added investigation has been launched. Faramarz did not give further details about the blast or who was killed.

No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.

This is despite the fact that many provinces, including the capital Kabul, have witnessed heavy fighting, sticky mine explosions, assassinations and targeted attacks that have killed a number of journalists, human rights and civil society activists, civilians and government officials.

Most of these attacks have not been claimed by any individual or group.
