KANDAHAR (SW) – A group of insurgents stormed the regional workshop of the NDS forces in Kandahar following a suicide car bombing on Saturday morning.
According to local officials, the suicide car bombing and armed clash between the attackers and security forces ended after four hours in the afternoon with all four attackers killed.
In a video message, the Kandahar governor Ruhullah Khanzada, said no security official got hurt in this attack in Damaan district of the province.
However, a health official in the regional public hospital in Kandahar city told Salam Watandar that four NDS officials who got injured in the attack were brought here for treatment.
Eyewitnesses said the blast was so intense it was heard miles away in the Kandahar city.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
