Consignment of explosives entering Afghanistan from Iran seized

FARAH CITY (SW) – A large consignment of explosives entering Afghanistan from Iran was seized on Thursday, official confirmed.

A reliable source in Farah province told Salam Watandar that a large consignment of explosives had been discovered in Farah at the border with Iran.

According to the source, the consignment was carrying 68 bags of explosives. It added each of these bags carried 20 kilograms of explosives in the guise of potatoes.

According to the source, the confiscated explosives are used in the making of roadside mines.

Iranian officials have not yet commented on this.
