The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Afghanistan has announced that Kuwait has donated $2.5 million to the country.

In a post on X on Tuesday (Oct. 27), OCHA reported the donation but did not specify how the funds would be used.

According to the agency, Kuwait’s support has been invaluable in sustaining humanitarian action in Afghanistan since 2024.

In recent years, Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, Norway, the United Kingdom, Canada, and several other countries have also contributed to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.
