«How AI became part of my life?»

My name is Sawiz Abrar. I am a graduate of journalism, and I currently work as a designer in a private workshop. My work is primarily focused on design-related tasks—from generating graphic ideas to content production, which forms a major part of my responsibilities and is prepared for publication and broadcast.

I do not consider this profession merely a source of income; rather, my long-standing interest in this field has drawn me to it over the years. This field relies heavily on creativity, and any tool that can help this process is valuable to me. My introduction to artificial intelligence (AI), and my eventual adoption of it despite initial skepticism, is rooted in this same drive for creativity.

In the early days of AI emerging as a new phenomenon in the world of technology, I viewed it as inaccessible and, at times, unusable. This view stemmed from my lack of knowledge and unfamiliarity with the technology and its related platforms. I thought that AI usage was general and that its professional use would be difficult and overly complex. However, over time, and with the rapid expansion of this technology in society, my curiosity increased, which led me to enter the world of AI and begin working with it.

My first experience with this technology began with ChatGPT—through questions that helped me become more familiar with it and continue using it. I asked a wide range of questions and received clear, accurate, and fast responses. This experience not only changed my view of AI but also made me a regular user.

In the beginning, I mainly asked simple and informational questions. But once I recognized its accuracy, speed, and capabilities, I found it highly useful in my work, studies, and idea generation. This familiarity and ongoing work led me to select AI as one of the helping tools in various areas. Now, this technology has become an inseparable part of my personal and professional life. It has been unprecedented for me in simplifying concepts, organizing information, and structuring content.

Now, as an AI user, I use it mostly in three areas. The first one is structural text editing, where it greatly helps me—both in improving writing style and refining concepts. The second one is ideation, where this technology contributes greatly to generating creative design ideas along with many achievements. The third one is accelerating tasks and projects that I have limited time to complete. AI helps me complete work with greater speed and precision.

Of course, alongside these advantages and conveniences that AI offers, it is also important to point out the challenges and risks associated with it. One of the major concerns is excessive user dependency on this tool. Overuse and a lack of critical thinking may lead individuals to become overly dependent on AI in both their personal and professional lives, which could ultimately reduce intellectual ability and creativity.

AI-related technologies, while offering significant facilities and advantages, also come with challenges. Some jobs may be affected, and additional concerns may be created for users. Nevertheless, my message to all users—especially youth—is to use AI creatively and practically, but never to become dependent on it.
