Traders boast success of “Victory and Economic Progress of Afghanistan” exhibition

KABUL (SW) – The four-day “Victory and Economic Progress of Afghanistan” exhibition concluded on Sunday.

Traders exhibiting their products at the event expressed satisfaction with the exhibition, reporting a significant boost in sales and successful marketing of their goods.

Homayun Azizi, a trader, highlighted how the exhibition provided an opportunity to showcase and sell his products. He noted: “People came to see our products, liked their taste, and purchased them with discounts. Many initially thought these products were imported, but fortunately, Afghanistan now boasts its own domestic production.”

Narges Rajabi, another trader, emphasized the exhibition’s impact on her business, stating that “it was 80% effective” for selling her products. “We have been able to sign agreements with other traders, shopkeepers, and wholesalers to export our products to provinces and even abroad.”

Visitors to the exhibition also encouraged others to support local products. Mohammad Faiq, a Kabul resident, remarked that such exhibitions could create opportunities for domestic product sales. “We should use local handicrafts and other products to help reduce unemployment and improve the country’s economy.”

Mohammad Shekib, another Kabul resident, added, “This exhibition was very beneficial. We bought items we needed at home from here, and prices were 10% cheaper compared to the market.”

On the other hand, Farid Naderi, an organizer of the Victory and Economic Progress exhibition, reported that nearly 15 agreements worth over four million Afghanis were signed during the event.

Naderi also noted that around 80,000 visitors attended the exhibition over the past four days. “Approximately 10 to 15 agreements, worth four to five million Afghanis, were signed. In future events, people will become more familiar with Afghan-made products.”

The Victory and Economic Progress of Afghanistan exhibition was launched last Thursday in Kabul, showcasing Afghan products in 310 booths over four days.
