FIROZKOH CITY (SW) – Local officials in Ghor have reported that deadly and devastating floods swept through the province on Friday, resulting in 13 confirmed fatalities.
Abdul Wahed Hamas, the spokesperson for the governor of Ghor, stated that the victims were from both the central area and various districts of the province.
According to him, the death toll is expected to rise and is constantly being updated.
The victims include women, men and children, reflecting the widespread impact of the disaster.
Residents of the “Shaikhes Kasi Valley” in north of Firozkoh city, the center of Ghor, reported that the floods have completely destroyed their village.
The floods have also caused significant financial losses to the affected communities.
