Pakistan claims killing of 7 individuals allegedly attempting infiltration from Afghan soil

KABUL (SW) – On Wednesday, the Pakistan Army’s Public Relations Department has stated that seven insurgents intending to infiltrate Pakistan from Afghan soil were identified and promptly action has been taken against them by Pakistani border forces.

In the statement, it is claimed that these individuals were killed in a heavy clash with Pakistani army forces in North Waziristan, located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The Pakistan Army added that they have repeatedly urged the Islamic Emirate to prevent insurgents from using Afghan territory against Pakistan.

Part of the statement reads, “Pakistan has consistently requested the Islamic Emirate to properly manage its borders, and Pakistan expected the Islamic Emirate to fulfill its responsibility and prevent insurgents from using Afghan soil against Pakistan.”

In response to these claims, Hamdullah Fetrat, deputy spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, says that the Islamic Emirate does not allow any group to conduct activities from Afghan soil that would threaten other countries.

He adds, “No group from outside is allowed to operate in Afghanistan, nor is anyone allowed to threaten other countries from Afghan soil.”

Meanwhile, Wais Naseri, a political analyst, emphasizes the need for the Islamic Emirate to address Pakistan’s concerns through diplomatic channels.

He adds, “The current Afghan authorities should sincerely address the demands of the world and the region and should also seek diplomatic solutions to alleviate these concerns.”

It is worth noting that Pakistan has previously accused the Islamic Emirate of harboring insurgent groups, including the Tehreek-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP), without taking decisive action against them.

However, the Islamic Emirate has responded to these criticisms by stating that the roots of Pakistan’s insecurity lie within its own borders.
