KABUL (SW) – The Meteorology Department of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation of the Islamic Emirate has warned of the probability of heavy snowfall and rainfall along with flash floods anticipated across Afghanistan on Thursday and Friday.
In a newsletter, this department stated that Badakhshan, Takhar, Kunduz, Baghlan, Kunar, Balkh, Parwan, Panjshir, Kapisa, Kabul, Logar, Paktia, Nuristan, Laghman, Nangarhar, Khost, Paktika, Zabul, Kandahar, Helmand, Uruzgan, Daikundi, Ghor, Herat, Farah, Nimroz, Badghis, Sar-e pol, Bamyan, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Samangan, Jowzjan and Faryab provinces, including Salangs will witness snowfall, heavy rain, relatively strong winds with flash floods.
The meteorological department has predicted the amount of rain in different areas between 15-80 mm and the amount of snow between 15-50 cm.
