HERAT CITY (SW) – Ahmad, a 52-year-old resident of Rubat Sangi district in Herat province, is father of 46 children.
Ahmad says that he shares a home with his three wives and all of his children.
In an interview with Salam Watandar, Ahmad expresses deep affection for his children and emphasize that his sons work alongside him and treat him with “best respect”.
Ahmad describes their relationship not as father-child but as companions.
He further said that even plans to marry again soon to have a fourth wife.
Ahmad supports his large family by working in a bakery inherited from his father. He ensures the family’s needs are met by working hard in the bakery.
Despite the financial responsibility, Ahmad spares no expense to celebrate special occasions.
He proudly shares that during the last Eid, he spent almost 50,000 Afghanis on clothes and shoes for all his children, both boys and girls.
According to Ahmad, having such a large family has earned him respect and recognition among the traders and residents of his district.
