SHARAN CITY (SW) – A library has been opened in the central prison of Paktika province, said local officials.
According to the provincial administration, this initiative, established by the Prison Affairs Directorate, aims to provide prisoners with access to books.
In a press release, it is stated that the prisoners at central prison of Paktika have expressed satisfaction with the opening of this library, saying that it allows them to read their favorite books.
This marks the first time a library has been opened in the Paktika central prison.
