Nimruz traffic incident claims 8 lives, injures 6

ZARANJ CITY (SW) – A traffic incident in Nimruz province in southeastern Afghanistan has left eight dead and injured six others, said officials.

Qudratullah Abu-Yassin, the spokesperson of the Nimruz Security Command, told Salam Watandar that the incident occurred on Friday evening in the Chakhansur district as a result of collision of two fast cars.

Traffic incidents that often occur due to the negligence of drivers, have always taken victims from passengers.

According to the statistics of the General Directorate of Traffic Police of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, 3045 traffic incidents have been recorded in Afghanistan during the last 10 months.
