KABUL (SW) – The Meteorology Department of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation of the Islamic Emirate has warned of the probability of heavy snowfall and rainfall with flash floods anticipated in 19 provinces on Monday and Tuesday.
In a newsletter, this department stated that there is a possibility of snowfall and rainfall in Farah, Herat, Nimruz, Helmand, Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Ghazni, Daykundi, Ghor, Badghis, Faryab, Jowzjan, Balkh, Samangan, Sar-e Pol, Bamyan, Badakhshan, Takhar provinces.
The meteorological department has predicted the amount of rain in different areas between 15-40 mm and the amount of snow between 15 and 40 cm.
According to the statement, there is a possibility of strong winds in the northern, western, southern and southwestern provinces, including Salang, whose speed is predicted to be between 20-75 kilometers per hour in different parts.
